Ingredients:
Use Spice
Hunter dried morels, our inventory number
3-1434 and Just Dried Onions, our inventory
number 3-2621.
1 package dried morel mushrooms
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2-3 cloves garlic, slivered
small onion, finely diced or 2 tablespoons
Just Dried Onions
salt and pepper to taste
bread slices or large crackers
mozzarella cheese (try bufala d mozzarella)
Soak the morel mushrooms in warm water at
least 30 minutes. Drain the water and pat
the mushrooms dry. Slice larger ones in
half, leave smaller ones whole. In heavy
bottomed fry pan heat oil. Add garlic and
onions and cook about 1 minute then add the
drained mushrooms. Cook and stir about 3-4
minutes or until mushrooms have cooked.
Place bread on plate, pour over the
mushrooms and add sliced mozzarella. Garnish
with snipped herbs and serve. |
