Ingredients:
Roasted Onions in Balsamic
3 - 4 large onions
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
sprinklings of coarse sea salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour the vinegar into a shallow baking pan
or sauté pan. Sprinkle with salt. Peel away any ugly skins, but leave
some of the skins intact. Cut the whole onions in half lengthwise right
through the root end. Don't breathe! Place the onion halves cut side
down into the balsamic. Bake 35-45 minutes, then turn right side up and
dollop with a little butter. Serve.
