Ingredients:
Stuffed Bell Peppers
3-4 large green or red peppers, halved and seeded
1 small onion, chopped
1 to 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef, donut shaped
1-1/2 cups catsup or tomato sauce
1-1/2 cups cooked rice
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Presoak lid of Glazed Schlemmertopf clay pot 10 minutes. To bottom of
pot add peppers. Microwave, covered, on HIGH 4-5 minutes. Drain and set
aside. In 2-quart glass batter bowl add onion and ground beef. Microwave
on HIGH 5-6 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time. Pour off
drippings. In batter bowl blend beef with catsup, rice, egg, salt and
pepper. Spoon into pepper halves and arrange in bottom of clay pot.
Microwave, covered, on HIGH 8-10 minutes. Add one spoonful catsup to top
of each. Rest, covered, 5 minutes.
